You’re not just looking at a static photo on a website; you’re seeing the actual plant you’re bidding on. We’ll spin it around, show you the variegation on the underside of the leaves, and talk through exactly what kind of light and humidity it needs to thrive. The Secret Weapon: The "Max Bid" Feature
One of the biggest hurdles for auction beginners is the "fear of the lag." You’re worried your internet will stutter right as the timer hits zero, or you’ll get distracted by a delivery at the door and lose your dream plant by a dollar.

When an item goes live, you don’t have to just click the "Bid" button over and over. You can set a custom "Max Bid", the absolute highest price you’re willing to pay. Whatnot’s system will then automatically bid on your behalf, but only in small increments.
For example, if the current bid is $20 and your Max Bid is $50, the system will place a bid for $21. If someone else bids $22, it will automatically bump you to $23. It keeps doing this until either you win the auction (potentially for much less than your $50 limit!) or someone else bids $51. It takes the stress out of the "sudden death" countdown and ensures you stay within your budget.
